New Look For A Country Clock

Hello and good morning!  Hope this post finds you well!  Another weekend has come and gone so quickly.....although, it was a nice one for us.  My hubby worked on a little ice rink for my son this weekend.....so now it would be nice if we could have some cold weather to freeze it over!

I found this super "country" looking wall clock at a garage sale awhile back.

I decided on the color red.  I gave it a coat of primer and then sprayed on many coats of red.  Red, for me, is a hard color to paint with.  I feel like it always takes so many coats to achieve the desired look.  After the red paint dried, I distressed it with some black paint to give it a bit more depth. It always amazes me to see how different a piece looks after it has been antiqued and/or distressed.
Here is that "country" clock now......I think it's more more modernized now.
What do you think?

Have an amazing day!

  1. I Like the update! I find red to be a "scary" color, just because it's bold and I'm afraid it will look silly. But you did a great job on this clock!
I found you on Handmade Tuesdays @ Ladybug blessings. I'm your newest follower, and I'd love if you'd follow me back :)
