First, I brushed an aqua flat paint onto the birdbath. Than I painted a light orange all over it and than wiped off the excess, which was left in all the grooves and imperfections. Aqua and orange are two popular colors and they look fun together. I sprayed a light coating of varnish to protect it if I wanted to use it as a birdbath....
