Vintage Frame

I am so excited that it is Wednesday and I get to share with you one of my latest treasures that I happened to find at a garage sale!! The funny thing is that it wasn't supposed to be part of the garage sale but I saw it hanging on the wall and I just had to ask about it. It's this huge antique frame that isn't in the most pristine condition, but none the less I just had to have it. I don't mind if it is missing a few decorative parts, that's just part of it being old and hanging around for a few years (not sure how many years to be exact). So to be completely honest I really didn't do too much to it. I just gently wiped the cob webs off of it and sprayed it with a coat of spray paint. I only did one coat because I liked how the old color somewhat shows through and highlights the delicate detail of the frame.
I found the perfect spot to hang it in my house (in my hallway) and put just a simple rustic wreath hanging from a ribbon in the middle. I was thrilled to find it and now I am thrilled to have it hanging in my house!! ~Jessica

  1. Oh your wreath looks great hanging in that. I just did the same thing with an oval frame the other day.

    1. I think the best part of the frame is how large it is! I was looking for one forever.

  3. Creative way to hang a wreath - I must remeber to do that someday! The frame is perfect - broken pieces just give it more character.

    1. Thanks!! I do agree with that fact that the broken pieces give it more character.

  6. Goes to show, it never hurts to ask, right? Some of my best finds were because I spoke up and asked. ;)

Thanks for sharing at Time Travel Thursday.
