Bring Back Summer

Good Thursday Morning everyone.  In Michigan we have a rainy, warm and very windy day. I guess in the Fall we will get these days, but when it's sunny I am a lot more productive than when it's gray and cold.  Also when the days are rainy in the fall I reminisce about our lazy warm and sunny summer days.  Well, I have this cute little metal table (that reminds me of summer) that I bought at a garage sale awhile back but I love that it is old and probably came from the 50's.  The paint was chipping off but I liked the original red color it was.  Here is the before picture:

I removed the loose paint and did a quick sanding job on it and as I sanded I found that it had been painted a few times.  I found some red paint and started painting.  I loved the way it came out and it was a bright and happy color of red.

It is always amazing to me how a little bit of paint can really change a piece of furniture or anything.

I ended up putting it by my little chair under a birch tree.  It turned out to be a quiet little hideaway to read my book or to do some handwork and be able to watch the kids in the lake.
