75 Cent Frame Transformed Into A Chalkboard

Good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I can't believe we only have two more weekends until Christmas.....December is flying by!!!  This weekend we took my son to Huckleberry Railroad which is in Flint, Michigan.  It is set-up to look like a vintage village where thousands and thousands of  Christmas lights twinkle on every building and tree. Huckleberry Railroad is so magical this time of year.....  We got to enjoy a train ride and the train was also lit up in Christmas lights!  My son absolutely loved the train ride!  It lasts for about 45 minutes and there are many Christmas light displays along the way to enjoy.  My sister and her family and Grandma and Grandpa joined us as well.  It was such an enjoyable evening.....LOVE this time of year!!

I wanted to share a quick and easy transformation.  I found this 75 cent frame at a garage sale this past summer.

I painted the glass portion of the frame first with a primer.  After that had dried, I applied several coats of chalkboard paint to it.  The frame received a coat of yummy yellow paint and then black glaze around the nooks and crannies.

What do you think?
Make it a great Monday!!!
