New Headboard

Hello!! Just another beautiful day in Michigan today. I love this time of year! I hope you are all enjoying these lazy days of summer. Today I am going to show you a project that I have been wanting to get done for awhile now. I found this big mantel at the flea market a year back. I just loved it and brought it home. Of course my husband was wondering where this big piece was going to go in our house. I reassured him that I knew where it was going. :) The best thing about this piece is that it is made out of foam. You would never know by the way it looks, but it is NOT heavy and I don't have to worry about it falling down from the wall. The guy who I bought it off of used to decorate for weddings and he was selling a bunch of his materials. I could have bought a ton more if we had room in the car. Fortunately for my husband we didn't. :) I painted it and cut the sides to make them even. My husband then helped me cover up the ends with pieces of wood that he cut out to cover up the ends. I LOVE  how it turned out!
Have a fabulous rest of your week and thanks for stopping by!!
